Key Turnover
Once you have attended your title appointment, you must wait for your closing documents to be “released for recording” by both your lender and Harbour Homes before you can receive your keys. The phrase “released for recording” means that each party has reviewed the documents and agrees on the final numbers.
This process usually takes 1-2 business days after the title appointment and can vary based on lender requirements. Once your documents have been "released for recording" Customer Service will contact you to schedule a time to meet at your new home. Your orientation list will be reviewed to make sure all items, if any, have been corrected. Once you initial and sign the reviewed orientation list, keys to your new Harbour Home will be issued. In some neighborhoods, we also provide mailbox keys, other neighborhoods will require you to pick them up at a designate Post Office.
