We’re hir­ing an accounts payable supervisor

Har­bour Homes, LLC is seek­ing an Accounts Payable Super­vi­sor. This is a great oppor­tu­ni­ty to join a small, but rapid­ly grow­ing, fam­i­ly owned busi­ness in the real estate devel­op­ment and home build­ing indus­try. Respon­si­bil­i­ties include:

  • Process approx­i­mate­ly $9M per month in accounts payable for 18 dif­fer­ent busi­ness entities
  • Mon­i­tor and own the entire­ty of the in-house accounts payable check pro­duc­tion process, to include: 
    • Doc­u­men­ta­tion of the A/P cycle and procedures
    • Super­vi­sion of, and del­e­ga­tion to, A/P clerks and oth­ers involved in A/P process
    • Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion of process improvements
    • Time­ly com­mu­ni­ca­tion to man­age­ment regard­ing process and/​or per­son­nel issues
  • Process con­crete logs and payments
  • In coop­er­a­tion with the Legal Depart­ment, track and process prop­er­ty tax­es payments
  • Sup­port and man­age ven­dor insur­ance com­pli­ance pro­grams in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Accounts Payable Clerk
  • Main­tain sup­pli­er lien waiv­er practices
  • Pre­pare and pro­duce all 1099s
  • Peri­od­i­cal­ly, ana­lyze the fol­low­ing inter­nal reports and take need­ed cor­rec­tive / fol­low up action 
    • Ven­dor back charge report
    • Accounts payable aging report
    • Open invoice reg­is­ter report
    • Checks out­stand­ing for greater than 90 days
    • Com­plet­ed open pur­chase order and ven­dor report
    • Inac­tive ven­dor report
    • Lease Amor­ti­za­tion Sched­ule and a Sched­ule of Equip­ment Leas­es report

This posi­tion requires a calm, ratio­nal per­son with clear and pre­cise ver­bal, phone and email com­mu­ni­ca­tion abil­i­ties, superb orga­ni­za­tion tal­ents and atten­tion to detail. This posi­tion fre­quent­ly inter­acts with all lev­els of the com­pa­ny from peers to executives.

The suc­cess­ful can­di­date will have a sta­ble and ver­i­fi­able work his­to­ry with respon­si­bil­i­ties sim­i­lar to those list­ed above, prefer­ably with 5+ years of direct, hands on, accounts payable expe­ri­ence. Super­vi­so­ry expe­ri­ence is pre­ferred. An inter­me­di­ate knowl­edge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Out­look is required. Expe­ri­ence with Sage 300 CRE and/​or Buil­derMT Work­flow Man­age­ment Suite (WMS) is a huge plus.

This posi­tion offers a high­ly com­pet­i­tive base salary (DOQ), dis­cre­tionary bonus oppor­tu­ni­ties, free park­ing, and med­ical and den­tal insur­ance ben­e­fits with pre­mi­ums that are 100% employ­er paid for Har­bour Homes employees.
